ABOUT US
Who We Are:
Stop the Spray Marin is a community-based group of citizens and grassroots organizers concerned for the health, environmental and economic risks of the planned LBAM eradication program, and committed to sustainable, and ecologically sound alternatives to pest control.
Our Mission:
Stop the Spray Marin embraces the “Precautionary Principle” – that if an action or policy might cause severe or irreversible harm to the public, in the absence of a scientific consensus that harm would not ensue, the burden of proof falls on those who would advocate taking the action.
Stop the Spray Marin is dedicated to discovery and dissemination of the full truth regarding the proposed eradication program of the Light Brown Apple Moth.
Stop the Spray Marin believes in sustainable and ecologically sound solutions to invasive pest problems that are shared equitably by all segments of society.
Stop the Spray Marin believes in full disclosure, informed consent and following the laws, as well as the public’s right to safety of persons, property and the commons.
